Camera and microphone for any app on your PC. Free, open source, no watermark, no account.
The phone does two things: the camera writes straight into the hardware encoder, and the encoded video goes out over the network. Everything else runs on the PC.
The phone reads Android's own thermal forecast and lowers fps, resolution and bitrate before it overheats, then steps back up when it cools.
No preview is drawn on the phone. Lock it and the video keeps going, which is also the coolest the phone gets.
Decoding, background blur, auto-frame and every look run on the computer, so the phone never works harder.
Nothing is locked behind a paid tier. This is the whole app.
Both files are in the same release on GitHub.
Run the rng-lens-setup installer. The app is not code-signed, so Windows may warn: press More info, then Run anyway.
Install the rng-lens APK on your Android phone. A Google Play version is on the way.
Same Wi-Fi or a USB cable, then choose the camera called rng-lens in your call or stream.
Plain Java on the phone, C++17 on the PC. Read it, build it, change it.
